2.Coco

Coco

This is a movie that you can enjoy watching with your child over the age of 6, and you will find plenty to discuss afterward. The movie is recommended for viewers aged 6 and older because younger children may struggle to understand some cultural metaphors within the Mexican belief system, which could lead to confusion. Themes such as family, family ties, values, prejudices, goals, targets, and courage are all explored. Additionally, the movie addresses the importance of researching the reliability and source of information, illustrating how prejudice stemming from incorrect information can persist for generations and what leads to it, as well as the beauty that arises from discovering accurate information.

Coco encourages us to question the accuracy of information passed down through our family of origin and highlights that reality and appearance (the known) are not always the same. It also provides an opportunity to explore and learn about the traditions and belief systems of a different culture. While doing all this, the movie emphasizes the importance of remembering our family memories through an emotional lens.

5.Cyberbully

Cyberbully

Bullying can be defined in the most general sense as any action that causes a person psychological distress and shakes their perception and beliefs about themselves. Not only physical violence, but also gossiping about a person, calling them names, ignoring them, and humiliating them are all included in the scope of bullying.

Virtual environments also offer unique opportunities for bullies. Insulting comments and posts, also known as trolling, along with posts made using derogatory expressions, are also included in the scope of cyberbullying.

If we go even further, as seen in the blue whale game, forcing a person to perform unwanted actions and taking over their virtual access and accounts can be considered the most advanced level of bullying. The movie Virtual Bullying has clearly expressed this painful truth. It has also explained very well the psychological methods bullies use to take control of a person. We recommend that families and teenagers who have children accustomed to the internet watch this 65-minute short movie.

In this film, Kermit and his friends set off to Hollywood to try to make their first movie. It is a movie full of quality jokes, and you can have a lot of fun watching it together. There are also 4-5 sequels.

I highly recommend the new Muppet movies, especially the 2011 Muppets. This movie has a story that addresses the self-esteem issue of children very well. I would also like to draw your attention to the song “Man or Muppet.”

24.ET The Extra-Terrestrial

ET The Extra-Terrestrial

What happens when 10-year-old Elliott, who feels very lonely after his parents separate, accidentally encounters a lonely alien child forgotten on Earth? Elliott’s friendship with E.T. and his struggle to protect him from the ‘unsympathetic’ adults while trying to return him home is told in a heartwarming tone.

This important classic was shot with an approach that never strays away from children’s dreams for even a second. Even the angle at which the camera is positioned is usually no higher than the height of the children. This movie is proof that children can communicate with each other correctly, no matter how different they are. There are few movies that better convey the importance of understanding each other, the universality of feelings such as kindness and innocence, and the meaning of true friendship than E.T..

It doesn’t matter if it’s a boy or a girl; you can watch it with peace of mind starting from the age of 6-7.

Initially, he gets beaten up by these bullies, but he meets Mr. Miyagi, a plumber of Japanese origin, who teaches him to defend himself, never to give up, to be patient, and to form a bond with his own body.

Sports can save the life of a child prone to depression and help them heal. 27.Stand by Me

Stand by Me

“Stay With Me” is a perfect movie for 12-year-olds. That’s why it would be best to watch it with your son when he is 12 or older. This way, some details in the movie will no longer be disturbing for children.

There are certain experiences that shape the lives of boys and become ingrained in their characters. These four children experience some of these significant moments during this phase of their lives: encountering the reality of death for the first time, facing a real threat for the first time, confronting a serious fight, being away from home for the first time, and feeling disappointment from their parents for the first time.

The most obvious commonality between these four children is revealed here: they are all children who have been deprived of fatherly love. They search for the great support they cannot find in their parents within each other. They cry on each other’s shoulders and make confessions.

“Stay With Me” is a wonderful friendship movie that also explores the sadness of growing up.

28.The Princess Bride

The Princess Bride

“The Princess Bride” is a delightful movie adapted by screenwriter William Goldman from his own novel. The film transforms classic princess tales into a story filled with more action, comedy, and even parody. Although Goldman’s novel is geared more toward adults, the movie is still a wonderful source of childish entertainment.

Featuring Robin Wright at her best, the film possesses a much calmer tone than today’s big-budget adventure and romance movies. However, it remains an interesting fairy tale filled with funny dialogues and amusing situations. It beautifully illustrates how true love can withstand the test of time, making it a movie that mothers, in particular, may find endearing. It can also serve as your child’s first introduction to the concept of love. You can safely let both your girls and boys watch it from the age of 8.

“Home Alone,” which achieved huge success worldwide that no one expected, actually has a very simple formula. It draws inspiration from naughty children’s movies and slapstick comedies. The story begins with a large family forgetting one of their children at home during their Christmas holiday preparations and becomes lively with the emergence of two thieves trying to break into the house.

Kevin, a smart 8-year-old boy, selflessly protects his home and himself. “Home Alone” will be a movie that boosts children’s self-confidence as Kevin overcomes his fears, and it will also provide a lot of fun since the hero is a child.

32.Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast

“Beauty and the Beast” (La Belle et la Bête) is actually a folk tale that was spread by word of mouth. It is attributed to a French writer named Jeanne-Marie Le Prince de Beaumont because it was first compiled and published in a book in the 18th century. It is a beautiful tale that conveys the message that while everyone loves the good and beautiful, the true importance lies in discovering the goodness behind what seems ugly or evil.

Although it may not have become as famous as fairy tales like “Snow White” or “Cinderella,” it was a story that had faded into the background until Disney’s revolutionary 2017 animated movie brought it back to life. This movie stands as one of Disney’s strongest animations in every respect, and it’s also a great musical. A Tim Burton movie that is very suitable for ages 7-8 is “Pee Wee’s Big Adventure”. It can be considered like Mr. Bean for children. I should also mention that it is a very entertaining movie.

This unique stop-motion movie blends children’s interest in horror movies and stories with comedy and a good story. It is a great movie that can be enjoyed by the entire family. However, for very sensitive children, 7 years old may be too young… The decision here is up to the parents.
